Security

We take the protection of your information seriously and apply industry-standard safeguards across our platform:

• Authentication: Secure sign-in via Google OAuth. Passwords (where applicable) are hashed with bcrypt and sessions are managed using signed JWTs.
• Encryption in transit: All traffic is encrypted using TLS 1.3 (HTTPS enforced site-wide).
• Encryption at rest: Our database is encrypted at rest with AES-256, with automated daily backups and point-in-time recovery.
• Access control: Row-Level Security is enforced at the database level, so each student can only access their own learning records.
• Server-side validation: Scoring, level progression, and other sensitive logic are validated server-side using strict schemas. API keys and secrets are stored as encrypted environment variables and never exposed to the browser.
• Hosting: The platform runs on a global edge network with DDoS protection and automatic failover.
• Data ownership: You own your data. We never sell or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.
